About Silent Stone
Founded in late 2006 in the misty shadows cast by the Tennessee Appalachian Mountains, Silent Stone began as a collaboration between long time friends, Matt Campbell and Brian Byrd. The pair composed several acoustic melodies before expanding to full band status with the addition of "Big Al" Drinnon, Josh Stines, and later Mat Stines. Developing a sound which blends the eclectic tastes and talents of the group as well as elements of the original acoustic sound of the founding duet
