Shishamo (stylised as SHISHAMO) is a three-member Japanese rock band that was formed in 2010 in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, while its original members were still in high school. The band began releasing music in 2012. The original lineup consisted of Asako Miyazaki (guitar and vocals), Aya Matsumoto (bass), and Misaki Yoshikawa (drums), who formed the group while participating in their high school’s rock band club. The members began writing original songs during their second year of high school.
