About Shinichi Sakamoto
Shinichi Sakamoto (坂本 伸市) is a professional videogame musician, who has worked at West One, a Japanese game developer, since the 1980s. He is perhaps best known for his work on the Wonder Boy / Monster World series of games for various systems. He was born in Chiba, Japan on 7 Jan 1966. He married in June 2002. He left high school early to start work; he started in videogame music around 1982, when he started at Tecmo, working on sound driver software for arcade machines.
