About Sexta
Sexta (סקסטה in Hebrew) is an Israeli all-female band, originally active between 1978 and 1983. The original line-up consisted of Iris Shemi, Hani Elyakim, Pnina Brik, Ruti Ben Avraham, and Smadar Vimzer. Vimzer left the group in June 1979 and was replaced by Varda Noga. On 2003 the band reunited as a four members group, consisting of Shemi, Elyakim, Brik and Ben Avraham. A new album was released under this line-up that year, as well as a few other singles. Another reunion took place in 2013.
