Born in Pleasantville, NY, independent artist Aaron Maine is the band's singer and songwriter. Sex God is the reincarnation of Space Ghost Cowboys, who released The Sad Album (Shack Attack Records) in 2009. Other artists on Sex God's winter 2010 Secret Album (Shack Attack Records) include Kolson Pickard of Buffalo Eskimo and Steve Yankou of No One And The Somebodies.
