About SEDMINA

Sedmina ("the seventh" in English) was a Slovenian progressive folk ensemble formed in 1977 in Ljubljana by singer-songwriter Veno Dolenc and his wife Melita, with Lado Jaksa (clarinet, piano, flute), Edi Stefancic (acoustic guitar) and Bozidar Ogorevc (violin, viola). After the release of two albums, the duo broke up. Each began their solo careers, with Dolenc recording with and his new wife, Klarisa Jovanović in the late 1980s, Sedmina used traditional instruments and gave an alternative interpretation of folk songs.
