«Sector 516" is formed in 1998. Maxim Sosnin. Initially, the project was called «Spot». In early work had a significant impact "Technology" group and «Arrival». Songs sung in Russian. . All music and lyrics written by Maxim at home. Early records of the project never published. In 2003. it was decided to change the name of the project due to the fact that changed the very sound of the newly created tracks and the former name of the project did not accurately reflect the concept of a new musical material.
