About Screaming Orgasms
One of New Zealand's top ska bands, and certainly the longest-established, The Screaming Orgasms were formed in 1991 at the International Pacific College in Palmerston North. Masaya Hori was the founder of the band, playing melodica and sax, and composing several songs. As soon as the band was formed, the first five members started playing gigs at parties held at IPC. In 1993, the band started playing gigs at pubs in Palmerston North and also in Wellington. In 1994, the band received TV coverage, with TV3's Newsnight featuring the Screamers.
