Jesse Bonds Weaver Jr. (born June 22, 1962) and known by his stage name Schoolly D, is an American rapper from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was born and raised in West Philadelphia and also spent part of his upbringing in Georgia. In the mid-1980s, Schoolly D collaborated with DJ Code Money, creating music characterized by themes of urban life, violence, and sexual confidence. He appeared in the 1986 documentary "Big Fun in the Big Town." Later in his career
