
Lewis "Scan" Tester (1887-1972) was an English traditional folk musician who became well-known in folk circles towards the end of his life after being captured in a number of traditional music field recordings. A native of Horsted Keynes, Sussex Tester was a fine singer and played the bandoneon, melodeon, fiddle and tambourine proficiently although he was best known as a concertina player and it was thus instrument that he was recorded playing in the 1960s.
