Blending an eclectic mix of gypsy swing, soul-jazz, piano pop, bossa nova, and country, Belgian singer/songwriter Sarah Ferri has drawn comparisons from everyone to Ane Brun to Emilíana Torrini to Joni Mitchell. Born to an Italian father and Belgian mother, she grew up in Ghent and first found fame after winning a contest at the 2009 Gentse Feesten. Following support slots with Caro Emerald, Simply Red, and Jools Holland & His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, she released her critically acclaimed debut album, ]Ferritales, in 2012.
