About Sally Doherty Quartet
Sally Doherty Quartet is a latin jazz band fronted by Sally Doherty (vocals) and Piero Tucci (piano and accordion). Piero has been described as “a jazzer's dream… unpretentiously skillful”. They are joined by Colin Elliot (double bass) and Phil Johnson (drums). Sally instigated this project after years of listening to bossa nova and samba from Brazil as well as music from Cuba and Mexico and after being inspired by such jazz singers as Chet Baker
