In 2009 he began college at the University of Georgia in Athens as a computer science major. Inspired by the live shows of Bonobo, Emancipator, Four Tet, and Tycho, he created and posted his own tracks online. Using the feedback of his listeners, Ryan refined his skills and gained a following.
