According to Ruth Ungar, "I am a singer/songwriter who grew up in the folk music world, went to college for acting, and eventually became a touring musician. I play an Ithaca Stringed Instruments fiddle, an old Gibson guitar and five ukuleles, including a National resophonic uke. I love to sing blues, country, swing, and everything in between." Ruth is now married to Michael Merenda and they are touring with their one year old son, doing small venues and house concerts.
