Rudy Plaate is a well-known singer, songwriter and composer from Curaçao. He always had a special place in his heart for Curaçao and through his songs he would always express this. One of his most famous songs is “Atardi”. Rudy would often sing about the problems and valuable aspects of his people and this made him to most of the people of Curaçao an icon. He was also known for helping up-and-coming musicians, one of them was the children’s choir “Perlitas”.
