About Royce Porter
He was born in Sweetwater Texas and recorded a few hits like "Yes I Do" with a Presley influence, in 1957. He was drafted into thNavy but on his discharge became a minister at the Baptist Church in Sweetwater. In 1965 he returned to recording with "Looking Back", but he was better known as a songwriter.
