About Rosario Conte
Rosario Conte was born in 1966 in Taranto. He started his musical education by studying the violin and guitar and then turned towards period plucked instruments and historically informed performance. He studied baroque guitar, lute, theorbo and basso continuo at the “N. Piccinni” Conservatoire in Bari and received his diplomas in guitar and lute with the highest distinction. From 2002 to 2004, he studied with Hopkinson Smith at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (CH) and since then has lived in Basel.
