American soul pop singer Robertha Williams (a.k.a. Robertha Bates) also recorded and released music as Ronnie Dickerson, notably three songs on a 1964 various artists LP on Spin-O-Rama Records, which also featured Irma Thomas and Maxine Brown. Historical footnote: all three Ronnie Dickerson songs were co-written by a young Lou Reed, who got his start in the music industry as an in-house staff songwriter (and occasional session guitarist/vocalist) for Pickwick Records.
