Spongy and The Dolls was a very short-lived American soul pop group of the 1960s, known for just one single, released on Bridgeview Records, a subsidiary of New York-based Pickwick International: 'It Looks Like Love' b/w 'Really - Really - Really - Really - Really - Really Love'. Footnote: the B-side was co-written by a young Lou Reed, who got his start in the music industry as an in-house staff songwriter (and occasional session guitarist/vocalist) for Pickwick Records.
