Ron Leary grew up in the Dairy Capital of Canada, situated in the heart of the tobacco belt, on the edge of the snow belt, down in Southern Ontario, not so far away from Tillsonburg. Most weekends of his early years he was packed into his family's Ford NTD and driven to some random community hall or barn dance to entertain for the WWII widow crowd, where in his parent's country & western band The Corn Huskers, drumsticks in hand, Ron played enough polkas and foxtrots to last a lifetime.
