He attributes this leaning to the pervasive Southern California environment where bright sun and vast blue skies inspire a sound that is warm and wide. Rollmottle has continually developed his warm sound by dipping his hand in everything from rock to house to techno. Raised on the tinny audio of AM oldies and reborn on the hypnotic sounds of experimental and independent rock, Rollmottle has a soft spot for distorted sounds, drones, and inharmonic melodies.
