About Rockpata
Rockpata is a peruvian andean rock fusion band from Puno, formed in late 2012. Their name merges the english word "Rock" with the quechua term "Pata" (summit or high place), translating to "Rock from the heights", a nod to their hometown on the shores of Lake Titicaca. The band is well-known for blending the raw power of rock music, featuring distorted guitars and heavy percussion, with traditional Altiplano instruments such as zampoñas (panpipes) and quenas (flutes).
