
Robert C. Solomon (September 14, 1942 – January 2, 2007) was an American professor of philosophy who specialized in the philosophy of existentialism, especially that of Friedrich Nietzsche. He was the Quincy Lee Centennial Professor of Business and Philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin, where he taught for more than 30 years. He received his undergraduate degree in molecular biology from the University of Pennsylvania and his master’s and doctoral degrees in philosophy and psychology from the University of Michigan.
