
About Rob van Bavel
Rob van Bavel (1965) is a pianist, teacher, composer and arranger. He graduated from the Rotterdam Conservatory in 1987 with the highest distinction and won several prizes, including second prize at the first Thelonious Monk Jazzpiano Competition in Washington DC, soloist prizes in Germany and Belgium, the Wessel Ilcken Prize and an Edison for the CD Rob van Bavel Trio. As a sideman and band leader he has released more than hodnerd CDs and toured throughout Europe, Canada, USA, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, South Korea and Siberia.
