Rivers Cuomo (born June 13, 1970) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and producer. He is the lead vocalist and principal songwriter of the rock band Weezer. He has also released works under his own name, and has contributed to numerous songs by other artists. Rivers Cuomo was born on June 13, 1970 in Manhattan to father Frank Cuomo and mother Beverly Shoenberger. His mother claims he was named "Rivers" because she first heard the sound of a river outside her hospital window after Rivers' birth.
