About Rise East Strike West
Born from a frustration with the mediocre fare on the radio, Oxford-based band Gunning For Tamar are brimming with the antidote to the ‘average’. Formed and assembled from limbs from Cornwall, Oxford & the Isle of Wight, the band infuses their music with a desire to make songs with compelling structures, whilst allowing ideas to weave and entwine with an unexpected, satisfying harmony. Their debut EP release ‘To The Lions’ offers a glimpse of what might come from the band in the future.
