About Rio Grande
There are two groups with the name Rio Grande: 1) Rio Grande were a portuguese supergroup composed of five great musicians, already consecrated in Portugal: Rui Veloso, Tim from Xutos & Pontapés, Jorge Palma, João Gil from Trovante and Vitorino. Their first hit was their starting record "Postal dos Correios". 2) Rio Grande were a psychedelic band from Tyler, Texas that infused strong country influences into their sound to create a rural psych sound similar to Notorious Byrd Brothers/Sweetheart of the Rodeo-era Byrds.
