About Rick Parfitt
Richard John Parfitt, OBE (born 12 October 1948 in in Woking, Surrey, England), sometimes known as Rockin' Rick and sometimes 'The WOMORR' (The Wild Old Man of Rock 'n' Roll), is best known for being a singer and the rhythm guitarist in the English rock band Status Quo . Parfitt began his career in the early 1960s, playing in pubs and holiday camps. He joined Status Quo in 1967 when they were looking for an additional singer. Parfitt met future Status Quo partner Francis Rossi
