About Retrospect Ensemble
Retrospect Ensemble gave its inaugural concert at the 2009 Norfolk and Norwich Festival, a critically acclaimed performance of Handel’s late masterpiece, Jephtha, directed by Matthew Halls. Ever since then, the Ensemble has gained a reputation for giving highly charged performances of dramatic works, such as Purcell The Fairy Queen (Israel), Gluck Orfeo ed Euridice (collaboration with Korean National Opera), and Blow Venus and Adonis / Purcell Dido and Aeneas (Bruges Concertgebouw); the works of Handel have become a speciality
