About Retropop
A Finnish band playing a mix of electronic and pop music. Retropop was formed in 2005 to counter the growing heavy rock / depression atmosphere in Finland at that time. Their goal is to create and play joyful and optimistic music which can be danced to, emphasizing the melodies and rhythms. The first single 'Pieni ja ihmeellinen' was released on March 5th, 2008 and the music video made for that song won the Audience Muuvi 2007 -award. Retropop's debut album was released by Universal Music on June 11th, 2008.
