About Reef Project
Los Angeles DJ Thee-O (real name Jacob Ofilas) has always loved Ambient music. His early influences include The Cure, New Order, Joy Division, Sisters of Mercy and eventually got into Eno, Tangerine Dream, The Orb, KLF and others. He soon began to DJ at raves in 1992 and discovered the Chill Rooms. He started making ambient mixtapes that were very popular in the Los Angeles area. At the end of 2000 he started producing ambient and downtempo music.
