About Raw Spitt
Raw Spitt was a pseudonym for soul singer Charlie Whitehead whose Nixon era tunes were penned & produced by former Musicor staffer and artist Swamp Dogg aka Little Jerry Williams Jr. The two released an album on Canyon of soulful funk with lyrics that spat out indignation at the American political status quo bringing some relevant racial/social injustice issues into a genre better known for sex and humor.
