About Rareware
Rare (formerly "Rareware") is a UK-based video game development company. It was founded in 1982 by brothers Tim and Chris Stamper. Rare was a second-party developer for the Nintendo hardware platforms for over a decade, but in 2002 was acquired by Microsoft. The company is most well known for the production of video games that fans exclaim are "half a generation ahead of the competition" in graphics, sound, and technical aspects. No stranger to dazzling graphics
