About Punjabi X
Harvey Sahota is a unique member of the new multicultural world. The first generation British Asian, (his family, originally from Dholeta - Jalandhar, India) was born and raised in London, UK. During his teens, Harvey began to show a growing passion to learn and play instruments of Indian origin including the Dholak, Dhol and Tabla. Over the years Harvey was recognized as a refined musician and consequently played with and alongside some of the best live musicians of the UK bhangra industry. Typical bands included Alaap, DCS and The Sahotas.
