About Pugwash
Pugwash are a band lead by singer, guitarist and songwriter Thomas Walsh, formed in Dublin, Ireland. They are influenced by the sounds of The Beatles, ELO, The Beach Boys and XTC. They perform pop/rock songs with emphasis on melody, harmony and musicianship - often featuring highly inventive string and orchestral arrangements. Pugwash's two most recent releases - Jollity (2005) and 11 Modern Antiquities (2008) received rave reviews in the Irish music press and on the web. They released their debut album Almond Tea in 1999.
