About Pu Xuezhai
Pu Xuezhai (proper name Pu Jin; a.k.a. Fu Xuezhai; Chinese: 溥雪齋; 1893 - 1966) was a guqin master, calligrapher, and painter master whose life bridged the late imperial and early modern periods. Born into the Manchu imperial Aisin-Gioro clan as a great-grandson of the Daoguang Emperor, Pu was raised in Beijing’s aristocratic milieu and received a rigorous education in poetry, painting, calligraphy, and classical music.
