From AmRep Forum - "thepowersthatwere Hi, I can solve the mystery as I was the guitar player in The Powers That Be! Wow, it's difficult to believe that the single was released almost 20 years ago. In 1992 Manchester was still dominated by "baggy" indie-dance bands, but "Crude Sound" really helped us to get some attention. We recorded a couple of live sessions for The BBC and played gigs with bands such as The Jesus Lizard, Tar, Seaweed and Alice Donut.
