Powerhouse can refer to a number of acts including (1) Florida straight edge hardcore on New Age Records, active from 1989 to 1991. (2) A Bay Area hardcore band. (3) A studio project featuring Eric Clapton. (4) A Japanese blues band. (5) A blues, blues rock band from the 90's. (6) An horn and guitar based R&B band that was active on the East Coast of the United States in the mid-1970s. (2) Powerhouse formed in 1993 with the intent to awaken the Bay Area scene from it's coma.
