About Poems For Laila
East-European-Folk-Rock from Germany. Set in Berlin in the beginning of the 90ies, Mastermind Nikolai Tomás put his hungarian roots into a relaxed kind of Alternative-Rock. Lots of acoustic instruments, the voice of Tomás and his companion Melissa Lou and some kind of Punk-Polka gave the Band a special attitude. They released four Albums before they split. I Shot The Moon (the last one from this period) was produced by Phil Manzanera, of Roxy Music fame.
