Playwrite create a wild and haunting wall of sound; animalistic and undeniably catchy. Through pounding drums, samples and swirling guitars come soaring lyrics and chants reminiscent of TV on the Radio, Arcade Fire and Akron/Family. A fresh, dynamic and singular addition to the Australian live music scene, Playwrite are a band galvanised by their energy and musicianship. In mid-2011, Jordan White and Patrick Holcombe took to the Workers Club with a bunch of songs and friends to launch the newly formed project Playwrite.
