About Pinkie
In 2000, Alex Sharkey formally of Brighter fame decided to change direction. The result was Pinkie, basically a one-man band featuring Sharkey, but also with some help from former bandmate Keris Howard. In Sharkey's own words: "As time went on I started to realise what was and wasn’t important. I felt inspired to write songs that I could immerse myself in, that I knew had a right to exist. I read Graham Greene’s “Brighton Rock” and suddenly it all seemed to fit into place.
