About Peyk
The Turkish rock band PEYK was essentially a college project. Istanbul's PEYK came into being in 1991 and went the usual route of shifting lineups and demo recordings (at one time featuring only two members, vocalist Irfan Alis and guitarist Serdal Ersoy) before stabilizing a couple of years later. They perform rock music based on Turkish lyrics. And the songs are slow to mid-paced, with a few occasional blues bursts with keyboards and guitars intertwining quite nicely with Irfan's flawless voice.
