About Peter Sinfield

Peter Sinfield (born Peter John Sinfield in London on 27 December 1943; died 14 November 2024) was an English poet and songwriter remembered as a co-founder and lyricist of King Crimson, contributing to their albums "In the Court of the Crimson King", "In the Wake of Poseidon", "Lizard" and "Islands", which he also produced. After having been asked to leave the group by Robert Fripp, Sinfield continued to be active in the progressive rock scene.
