About Peter Rundel

Born in 1958, Peter Rundel studied violin with Igor Ozim and Ramy Shevelov, conducting with Michael Gielen and Peter Eötvös, and composition with Jack Brimberg. In 1984 he joined the Ensemble Modern, which he performed with for twelve years. In 1987 gave his debut as a conductor. A specialist of contemporary music, he regularly collaborates with the Ensemble Modern, Ensemble Recherche, Ensemble Oriol, and with Klangforum Wien. His conducting engagements also led to collaborations with the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie
