A singer/songwriter with a deep, textured vocal tone, Indiana-born Peter Oren weaves elements of country and blues into his contemplative folk. A year after the arrival of his first album, he made his Western Vinyl debut with the socially conscious Anthropocene in 2017. Oren self-released his first full-length, the spare Living by the Light, in 2016. Around that time, he began performing live more often, with only his guitar as accompaniment. Along the way, he made fans of the likes of Joe Pug and Wilco drummer Ken Coomer.
