About Perino Fiorentino
Perino better known as Perino Fiorentino (Florence, 1523 - Rome, 1552) was an Italian composer and lutenist. Perino, son of Baccio Fiorentino (also known as Baccio the virtuoso and Bartolomeo degli Organi), was a pupil of Francesco da Milano , and like the maestro he was recognized among the major composers of lute music of the Italian Renaissance . He was also known as Pierino di Baccio our Fiorentino and as Pierino degli Organi . The scholar Cosimo Bartoli (1503-1572) wrote about him:
