About Penny Arkade
Penny Arkade, a folk/'sixties west coast' band from Los Angeles, CA., United States, were a brief but fascinating organization centered around songwriting folkies Chris Ducey and Craig Smith. Pairing up after auditions for a TV pilot, the duo cut a single for Capitol: 'Isha' b/w 'I Need You'. Bass player Don Glut came on board when a move to electricity beckoned, for which Mike Nesmith recommended fellow Texan Bobby Donaho (formerly with Corpus Christi's The Bad Seeds, of 'A Taste Of The Same' fame).
