Pelt is a psychedelic drone / free folk band from Richmond, Virginia, United States. Founded in 1993, the group plays dense, large-scale pieces of music that radiate inner warmth, influenced by Indian raga, the American primitivism of John Fahey, minimalism, and noise music. Members: Mike Gangloff (guitar, esraj, banjo, gong, hurdy-gurdy, tanpura, vocals, 1993-present) Skip James Connell (guitar, 1993-95) Pat Cardenas (drums, 1993) Paul Goode (tapes, 1994-95)
