About Pelican Club
Pelican Club is an indie synth pop band based in San Diego, California. Mostly the vehicle for songwriter Eric Carlson, the project combines the bouncy rhythms and jazz textures of West Coast bands like Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers with the jangle pop of luminaries such as Mac DeMarco. The band also draws on Vaporwave and Tropicalia imagery from past advertisements and cultural movements to create a unique aesthetic and musical experience.
