About Paula Koivuniemi
Paula Koivuniemi is one of the most popular schlager singers in Finland. Her signing career spans over five decades as she released her first hit recording, the tango Perhonen, in 1966. She sings in Finnish and has recorded some 400 songs during her career. At age 65 (she was born June 19th 1947 in Seinäjoki, Finland) Paula still records music and hosts tours and gigs. In 2000 Paula went on a lengthy tour with ‘Leidit Lavalla’, a singing group she formed with Katri Helena, Lea Laven and Marion Rung.
